VorTek Thermal flow sensors adopt a thermal mass flow technology based on full-digital design. Unlike other thermal flow sensing technologies, instead of using traditional analog circuitry, our direct digital sensor is interfaced directly to the built-in   microprocessor for more control, precision, and programmability. Our state-of-the-art sensor technology accurately responds to changes in process variables (gas flow rate, pressure, and temperature) to determine mass flow rate, totalized flow, and temperature. Our intelligent thermal gas mass flowmeter adopts multiple advanced technologies, such as multiple compensations, noise reduction, multiple signal outputs and bus communication functions, etc., providing customers with high sensitivity, high reliability, wide dynamic range and high-precision mass flow measurement, with the scalable flexibility of the sensors, which can measure gas flow rates as low as 5 mm/s and as high as 300 m/s for most gases. It supports analog output and RS485 Modbus digital communication, and various standard digital communication buses such as DeviceNet, ProfiNet, EtherNet, EtherCat, IO-Link, etc. can be selected. And it also provides customization services for various installation and connection methods for customers.

VorTek's line of SonoPro high-accuracy transit-time ultrasonic technology deliver accurate and reliable flow metering for your processes.   The innovative design incorporates matched precision transducers and signal processing circuitry to accurately measure the flow of most liquids over a wide range of velocities. SonoPro® meters are available with clamp-on or insertion transducers. Clamp-on meters have no wear, create zero pressure loss, and do not require process interruptions to install them since they are attached to the outside of the pipe. SonoPro features high accuracy flow measurement, bi-directional flow measurement, energy (BTU) measurement, non-invasive installation, no wetted or moving parts, no pressure drop, high-turndown ratio, no drifting or recalibration, and low total costs of ownership. They are ideal for applications ranging from hot/chilled water systems, boiler feedwater, portable water sub-metering and more.

VorCone Flow Meters

VorCone® flowmeters utilize two different flowmeter technologies in combination: vortex and differential pressure. The design has blended the two separate flow metering principles into one hybrid system where the two meters complement each other’s performance. This combination allows for the prediction of the fluid density, volumetric flow rate, and mass flow rate without any fluid density information being required from an external source. This ability to measure fluid density allows the meter to provide several valuable outputs. In saturated steam service, the meter produces a reliable steam quality (dryness) measurement and mass flow rate reading. In gas service, the meter can calculate the density of changing gas mixture. For example, natural gas is typically composed of many different gases that vary over time and by application. In wet natural gas service, the meter can provide a reliable liquid loading measurement and gas mass flow rate reading.
